This course helps learners move from basic A1 grammar to a confident A2 level. It covers past and future tenses, modal and reflexive verbs, possessive pronouns, degrees of comparison, questions, inversion, negation, conjunctions, and a first introduction to subordinate clauses.
Lesson 1. Reviewing A1 and moving to A2
We review basic word order, the present tense, personal pronouns, and key A1 structures to move confidently into A2 tenses and grammar.
Lesson 2. Past Tense — Preterite
In this lesson, you get to know the preterite form, learn how to form the past tense of regular verbs, and understand when this form is used in everyday speech.

Lesson 10. Degrees of comparison of adjectives
In this lesson, we look at how the comparative and superlative of adjectives are formed in Norwegian, and we review the most common irregular forms.
Lesson 11. Comparison and comparison structures
Structures for comparing objects, people, and situations, including patterns of equality, difference, and intensified comparison.
Lesson 12. Question words
Basic question words and question patterns for getting information about time, place, reason, manner, and quantity.
Lesson 13. Inversion
Word order after an adverbial or another element at the beginning of the sentence, the V2 rule, and common learner mistakes.
Lesson 14. Negation in sentences
The position of ikke and other negative elements in simple sentences, questions, and constructions with modal verbs.
Lesson 15. Conjunctions
Basic conjunctions help connect words, parts of a sentence, and simple statements. In this lesson, we look at the most common conjunctions and see how meaning changes depending on the link between ideas.
Lesson 16. First introduction to subordinate clauses
A basic understanding of subordinate clauses, their role in a sentence, and a first look at differences in word order.
