Grammar
In this lesson, the focus is not on new tenses but on typical constructions with frequent verbs in the present tense. With such verbs, it is important to memorize ready-made patterns. å være often describes a state, place, or quality: jeg er hjemme. å ha shows possession or availability: jeg har tid. å bli expresses a change of state: hun blir trøtt. å finne, å sette and å bruke usually require an object: what exactly is found, placed, or used. å tenke is often used in the patterns tenke på and tenke om: the first means “to think about,” the second means “to have an opinion about, to think of.” At the A2 level, it is useful to learn not an isolated verb but a whole short phrase.
